OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this seminar is to provide the essentials for understanding how and under what conditions the IPR instruments are of help to protect inventions, utility models, design models bi and tri-dimensional trademarks and how these instruments may boost the development of a business or simply lead to waste precious resources. This will be done by making reference to the relevant legislation and the principal international conventions governing such instruments.

CONTENT: The seminar combines a formative session in which the main topics of each one of the IPR instruments will be illustrated and discussed, by highlighting what might affect their validity, and a practical session in which the participants can test the acquisition of an increased awareness on the matter.
