Origin and evolution of Statistics - Statistics and its role - Collective phenomena – Metric and non metric variables - The levels of measurement - Statistical distributions - Tabular and graphic representations - Measures of central tendency - Measures of variability – Concentration – Shape indices – Chebyshev inequality - lndex numbers.

Measures of the relationship between two variables - Linear Relations - The probability - Probability distributions and discrete random variables - Probability distributions and continuous random variables - sampling techniques and sampling distributions .
- INFERENTIAL STATISTICAL MEASURES
Statistical inference - Estimation of parameters - Parameter estimation of a single population and comparisons between the two populations - Hypothesis testing of a single population and comparisons between the two populations - Test on frequency data , on the goodness of fit and analysis of the tables contingency - Inference on the linear regression model .
