  • RADICI E PERCORSI FILOSOFICI DELL'AREA MEDITERRANEA
    The module aims to achieve the educational objective of the in-depth knowledge , through original and critical texts , of the Greek origins of the philosophical question about the relationship between mind , body and soul , by demonstrating the presence of it in the epistemological models of Mediterranean cultures .
  • Action, will and freedom
    The module aims at providing the student adequate knowledge, in line with the general objectives of the degree course, of fundamental philosophical and theoretical issues also for the purposes of a possible future teaching activities.

Detailed Course Content

  • RADICI E PERCORSI FILOSOFICI DELL'AREA MEDITERRANEA
    The module includes the study of the concept of the mental and physical identity in the testimonies of classical Greek literature and philosophy from Omerus and Plato to Epictetus and Plotinus . Conceptions of body , soul , rationality , autonomy in the Greek models.
  • Action, will and freedom

    The main topics of this course are, under a philosophical-theoretical profile, the theme of the action, of will, of freedom, with a particular reference, in a pluralistic spirit, to the contemporary perspectives and languages and to the exchange with scientific models.
