PANEBIANCO Stefania, Prof. Dr. JMC Holder. Associate Professor of Political Science, UNICT, since 2004 and Lecturer at LUISS, Rome, since 2008. Member of the Political Sciences PhD academic staff, UNICT. Visiting Scholar, Univ. of Ghent, Sept 2014. Co-Convenor of the Standing Group on EU of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP), 2010 on. Co-editor of the on-line professional journal Italian Political Science (IPS), 2013 on. Evaluation Expert of degree courses and research projects- Italian Ministry of Education, 2010 onwards. Founding Member of the European International Studies Association (EISA) in 2013. Member of the ECPR Standing Group of International Relations Executive Board, 2010 on and Member of the SISP Executive Board, 2010 on. Coordinator of the JM IRA on EU foreign policy and DEMocracy promotion, 2010-11. Responsible of the JM Module on EU Roles in International Governance, 2005-2010. Member of the INTAS research group on European Security Identity and the Southern Caucasus: the role of the EU, the US and Russia, 2005.
CUCCIA Tiziana Maria, Prof. JMC Academic Teaching Staff. Full Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Catania. Her teaching activities concern the field of economic policy, political economy, development economics and cultural economics. Her scientific interests concern contingent valuation of public goods, cultural economics, and tourism economics. She has published several articles in scientific journals and books. Her most recent publications concern the dynamics of exchange rates; the effectiveness of the inscription into the UNESCO the World Heritage List upon local economic development; economics aspects of creativity and the impact of creativity in industrial sectors.
SAPIENZA Rosario, Prof. JMC Academic Staff. Full Professor of International and European Law since 2001. Member of the European Society of International Law Interest Group on Migration and Refugee Law and of the Italian Society "Associazione di Studi Giudirici sulla Immigrazione". Chair of International and European Law, School of Law- University of Catania (2001-present). In charge of the Basic Course in International Law and the Selected Topics in Public International Law Course for English speaking students. Runs the Centre of Research on International Organizations (CRIO), a research workshop established in 2007 and intended for graduating students and graduates specializing in international law. Deputy Chairman of the Italian Society for International Law (2010-2011). Studied in Catania, Palermo, Florence, Geneva and The Hague, reading Roman Catholic Theology, Laws and Economics. Served as a tenured researcher in International and European Law at the Florence University School of Political Sciences "Cesare Alfieri" (1983-1995).
FONTANA Iole, Dr. JMC Tutor. Teaching Assistant. PhD in Institutions, Politics and Policies (IMT- Institute for Advanced Studies, Lucca) 2012-2015 with a dissertation on " The Implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy in Tunisia and Morocco: when domestic actors make a difference", under the supervision of Prof. Stefania Panebianco. Former intern at the EU Delegation, European External Action Service, Tunis (Tunisia) (Nov. 2014- February 2015). Visiting Scholar, Université Hassan II, Faculté de Sciences Juridiques, Politiques et Sociales, Casablanca (Morocco) (May-July 2014). Visiting Scholar at the LSE International Relations Department, London (UK) (September- December 2013). Junior Researcher for EUDEM- Jean Monnet Information and Research Activity on EU foreign policy and DEMocracy promotion, University of Catania (November 2010-July 2011). MA Degree in GLOPEM, University of Catania (Nov. 2011) under the supervision of Prof. Stefania Panebianco. Bachelor Degree in Politics and International Relations (Nov. 2009), University of Catania. She presented papers at several international conferences (2012-2015).
BARBAGALLO Valentina, Dr. Administrative Project Manager. Responsible of the International Relations Office, Dept. of Political and Social Sciences, UNICT. PhD in International Relations; specialization in administrative sciences. Previously administrative manager at the EUROMED Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the former Faculty of Political Sciences. In support of the academic staff in the preparation of applications and in the implementation of EU funded projects, such as Erasmus, Jean Monnet Action, FP7. Long lasting experience in the organization and management of international events, including summer schools, international confeences, workshops and masters.
